Multiresidue analysis

Multiresidue analysis service for the determination of substances with pharmacological action in different types of matrices throughout the entire agri-food chain.

Nowadays the concept of food safety means protecting consumers from a whole range of chemicals potentially present in animal-origin food.

Monitoring animal-origin products throughout the entire agri-food chain means carrying out inspections starting from livestock drinking water and the feed given to farm animals, or from their urine, and then moving on to edible matrices sampled in the slaughterhouse or directly at the sales counter, e.g. animal tissues (meat muscle, fish, liver, kidneys), eggs and milk. These types of matrices are extremely important for the consumer’s health. However, each matrix indeed provides different indications about the possible administration. Having the best understanding of what the storage organs are, the times and the forms of metabolisation for each class of substances would help to ensure a safer sale of meat. The final and most important beneficiary is the end consumer.

Applied method: UHPLC-HRMS/MS
