Specialised in the analysis of foodstuffs, animal feed and water destined for human consumption, our Laboratories offer highly efficient operational conditions by means of the most current technologies. The Labs carry out analyses for all of the agrifood industries. For more than twenty years the Laboratories have operated in compliance with accreditation requisites and in accordance with Regulation UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 with the aim of attaining the following objectives:
/ Satisfy the requirements of customers and accreditation bodies
/ Carry out testing activity in compliance with criteria and qualitative requisites established by the national and international regulatory bodies for testing laboratories
/ Improve service provided to customers, guaranteeing transparency and dependability.
CHEMICAL AND COMMODITY ANALYSES
Our chemical analyses have the function of researching residuals of: / Approved and non-approved medicines / Environmental contaminants (dioxin, heavy metals, mycotoxin, etc.) / Nutritional and commodity analyses.
FOOD AND ENVIRONMENT MICROBIOLOGY
Of primary importance for food safety is the department that processes the greatest number of samples. It only uses accredited testing methods and is able to research all of the reference parameters to determine if a food is micro-biologically safe. Additionally, it carries out customised shelf-life tests based on customer requirements, filth tests and analyses for the research of animal origin constituents in animal feed.
GMO ANALYSIS AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
The principle analyses are related to research on GMO, allergens, pathogenic micro-organisms, species identification, myostatin gene mutation to verify if meat comes from a Piedmont breed, and bovine beta casein gene mutation to verify the genotype of origin of the carrier.
HISTOLOGY AND MICROSCOPY
Histology is the most recent field that the Group has taken on, although the Group has more than 10 years of experience in the field. The histology methodology was established in collaboration with the University of Turin to identify lesions on bovine target organs that could be traced to illegal treatment with anabolic steroids or growth enhancers. Through microscopy on the other hand, research is done on animal origin constituents in animal feed and solid impurities in foodstuffs for human consumption. All of the methods are accredited.
